Get started and get back in

Create your account, add your business, sign in and get approved. Once you're in, every guide is inside shoutME Business, under Help.

Create your account

Sign up with your email and a password, confirm your email with a code, and set up two-step sign-in.

Your account is yours, not your business's. One account can own or work in several businesses, and you add your first business right after signing up. Most of your team doesn't need one: they unlock your business's devices with their own PIN, and only those who use shoutME Business on their own phone or computer, like a manager, have an account.

  1. 1Go to app.shoutmebusiness.com and choose Get started.
  2. 2Enter Your name and your Email address. You'll sign in with it.
  3. 3Choose a Password and type it again in Confirm password.
  4. 4Choose Create account.
  5. 5Enter the 6-digit code we send to your email.
  6. 6Set up two-step sign-in: install an authenticator app on your phone if you don't have one, scan the QR code with it, and enter the 6-digit code it shows.
  7. 7Save your ten recovery codes somewhere safe, away from your phone. Each signs you in once if you lose your phone.

Every shoutME Business account signs in with its password and a code from an authenticator app, so a stolen password alone can't open your business. Once it's set up, shoutME takes you to add your business. If you made a mistake in your details, choose Edit your details before entering the email code.

Add your business

Five short steps: the basics, its type, where it is, how to reach it, and a review.

What you've typed is kept if the page reloads, and you can go back to any finished step.

Basics

Enter your Business name, which is how customers see you, and choose a Username. It's also your website's address, so keep it short; you'll see straight away if it's free. Then add your Legal business name and its Legal structure.

Business type

Search or pick your industry, then your kind of business, like a café, a salon or a clinic. It decides what your business starts with, like a menu and tables for a restaurant. You can turn features on or off later.

Location

Enter your country, state, city, address and PIN code. In India, add your PAN, and your GSTIN if you're GST-registered; your PAN fills in from it. Your business's data is stored in your country's region (India for businesses in India) and stays there.

Contact

Enter your Phone, which must be a real number, choose Send verification code and enter the 6-digit code we text you. Add an email, your website, a tagline and a description if you like.

Review

Check everything, change anything with Edit, then choose Add business.

Your email, your password, and a code from your authenticator app on a device you haven't used before.

  1. 1Go to app.shoutmebusiness.com.
  2. 2Enter your Email address and choose Continue.
  3. 3Enter your Password and choose Sign in.
  4. 4On a device you haven't signed in on before, open the authenticator app on your phone and enter the 6-digit code it shows for shoutME Business. Choose Sign in.

Tick Remember this device for 30 days and that device only asks for your password for the next 30 days. Leave it unticked on a shared or public computer. Whenever a new device signs in to your account, we email you, with a link to sign out everywhere if it wasn't you.

Five wrong codes in a row pause sign-in codes for your account for five minutes.

Your team's counter devices don't sign in like this. A manager pairs each one to your business once, and your team unlocks it with their own PIN.

Reset your password

A code by email and one from your authenticator app, then a new password.

  1. 1On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password?
  2. 2Enter your Email address and choose Send code.
  3. 3Enter the code we send you, and the code from your authenticator app (or one of your recovery codes), then choose a New password.
  4. 4Choose Reset password, then Continue to sign in.

Your email alone can't reset your password, so someone who gets into your inbox still can't get into your account. Every device signed in to your account is signed out, so sign in again with your new password.

Get your business approved

Why every business is checked by a person, and what each status means.

We review every new business by hand, to keep shoutME trustworthy for customers. Most are approved quickly. You can sign in and see your business's status right away; the rest of shoutME for that business unlocks once it's approved.

  • Pending review means we haven't finished checking it yet.
  • Approved means everything is unlocked.
  • Not approved means we couldn't verify it. Write to us and we'll tell you why and what to change.
